"Da
solo a molti" is built upon "Se San Sebastisno
sapesse" (If Saint Sebastian knew), a solo for
cello and arrows, manifesto of Tam Teatromusica, which
revises Saint Sebastian's martyrdom with pathos and
irony.
"Se San Sebastiano sapesse" was presented
for the first time in 1984 and it is proposed again
after 20 years completely untouched in order to reinstate
the
up-to-date weight of its language and the strength of
its message. As Sebastian sacrifices his life for not
denying his faith in the same way Tam remains faithful
to its artistic thinking and its poetics.
"Se San Sebastiano sapesse" inspired many
other works written by the authors of the several Tam's
generations. "Da solo a molti" is one of them.
Bodies and musical instruments become tangled, they
provoke each other and get dazed in a continuos alternation
between nature and artifice.
