Segni e suoni is dedicated to the restless souls. The Love described in the Petrarca's Canzoniere is the focus of our tribute to the author.

The core of our exploration is the feasibility of his nowadays actualisation.
What we see in his work is a contemporary lesson which can bring life to a human
condition inspired to freedom, justice and peace. The word for Petrarca is the connective tissue between past and present.

For us this connection is represented by the theatre as a perpetual experiment of causing thinking, of stimulating emotions, of leading to the knowledge.

We will attempt the risky and hard journey from past to present using a language we are very familiar with: the language of "the arts of stage".

Love for us is not the one related to a creature, love for us is researching the truth, intimate and social at the same time, which would be able to reach sensitive and contemporary ears although using Petrarca's archaic words.
